The Better Love

Back in 2016, I found myself engaged in various streams of work, many of which I truly enjoyed. Yet, there is always this one stream that brought me a bit more joy, a sense of fulfillment, a little more than the others. The joy of making art. At first, I didn’t recognize it as being distinct from my other pursuits. Eventually, clarity emerged, prompting me to convey this realization through my visuals. In the meantime, the individuals I encountered, the spaces I visited, and the entirety of my life experiences led me to understand that there are likely many others sharing the same emotions, some of whom may be uncertain about how to steer through them. Sometime in 2019, I decided to take up this theme to create a series of 12 fine art images, however, without any limitations on the time or cost associated with it. I finished shooting these 12 images by mid 2023 and edited them in the next six months. My intention with this project is to create tools with art that could inspire viewers superimpose their better love onto these images and cherish it while still embracing many other passions that they equally love.
